News Six participants begin another season in the
Fall of 2006. Sixth graders and their teachers from schools throughout
Northwest Ohio will have another opportunity to feature their schools
and communities in the News Six television production.
News Six is a television series
originated by NWOET and produced in cooperation with WBGU-PBS.
It consists of ten weekly 10-minute programs researched, written,
presented and co-produced by sixth grade classes from comprehensive
member schools of NWOET.
Through News Six, students
experience first-hand how a television show is put together and learn
how stories are conceptualized, videotaped on location and brought
together in the studio to create the final program. They learn that it
takes the cooperation of many people to produce a successful final
product.
