In this class you will learn online resources that can be combined with effective teaching strategies to maximize learning opportunities for struggling students. Resources will focus on basic skill development and assessment and will follow the CAST (Center for Applied Special Technology) guidelines for Universal Design for Learners.

If your school is currently using or considering using RTI (response to intervention) or incorporating the principles of UDL (Universal Design for Learning) into the classroom, this new training will help participants employ student assessment devices (commonly referred to as ‘clickers’ or student response systems) with these highly effective group of strategies. The focus of this professional development event will be on the integration of this technology into the curriculum, regardless of the brand or type of student response system used, or the curricular area.  You can use one of our systems OR bring a set of clickers you already have at your school.  Also included will be tips on composing strong test items that will provide effective assessments of student learning.  This new class has been added to help you make your classroom a more inclusive environment for the struggling learner.  NOTE: This training does NOT include equipment.

Each Solution Suite includes professional development, equipment, and training materials. Due to the changing world of technology, Ohio Ed Techs reserve the right to substitute a product model of equal or greater value than the model(s) listed. ALL participants receive unlimited phone tech support for equipment for up to 30 days, and assistance with returning equipment found to be defective within 30 days of training.
